Mangalore Pub fiasco....... wake up call

Hi,

Musing # 39

The following head lines after the attack on innocent girls at a Mangalore Pub made a funny reading for me as a non- religious person,

" Talibanisation at Mangalore by " Sri Rama Sena ".

Hindus and Muslims have been at logger heads, thanks to our so called secular leaders.

Now the unknown unit( Sri Rama Sena ) has brought about the impossible by merging themselves with the fundamentalist wing of Islam " Taliban" with their roof top proclamation that they are the custodians of the so called " Hindu Culture ".

This is a good revelation for people like me who were caught in the cesspool of religious proclamations. Now I realise there are only two religions,

1. One being created by men/ women of dubious distinctions( Taliban/RSS/BJP/Bajrangdal/SriRam sena/MNS)

2. One which is being followed by God loving individuals like me and others who fall in line with the same belief of equality, for all God created lives ,under this SUN.

As a resident of Karnataka I'm ashamed that we have elected leaders like Mr. Yediyurappa and Mr. V.S. Acharya who are insensitive to the aspirations of tomorrow's India.

Let us question their women what sort of treatment they are getting ?

I know for sure that they are worse than the proverbial doormats in their own house.

How they can proclaim themselves as the custodian of our culture with such double standards?

I find them Pseudo es to the core.

What is their locus standi ?

I intend to launch a movement called " One God and One Society ".

All of you who are vouching for the same can forward this mail to all like minded thinkers.

Let us not allow the bigots to hijack our freedom.

Walking to health......... or death( Bangalore tragedy )

Hi,

Musing # 38

All doctor's advice ,that regular morning brisk walk, as we age, keeps us fit and fine from aging & diseases and can keep our sojourn in Mother earth longer.

Like me four other aging gentlemen from Indiranagar in Bengaluru were strictly adhering to the above advice and keeping their tryst with their morning walks regularly.

They would not have ever dreamt that this healthy habit of theirs is going to be the cause of their early demise ( in the case of three ) and getting crippled ( in the case of one ), all because of one fast dude being high and driving on the side walk instead of his favourite fast lane.

This incidence is not the first of it's kind, a few years back similar tragedy took place in Navi Mumbai and two women walked to their death, as a milk van driven by a novice crashed into them in the side walk ( foot path ) and ended their sojourn in this world.

Since that incidence I have stopped my early morning walk on " Terra Fir ma "( the roads. )But I still keep my tryst with my morning walk.............. Yes, I do "high raise walking" every morning.

Living in a high raise building it is safer and nice to do the high raise walking IE. walking on the terrace of your high raise building.

I put on my sneakers and ipod and walk alone around the perimeter of my terrace for 45 Mt's. everyday.

What are the advantages of walking on the terrace alone,

Terrace advantages:

1. No vehicle driven by a novice/hung over dude will knock you down

2. You are witness to beautiful sun rise, chirping birds, changing seasons, blooming flowers from the trees.

3. Not being chased/bitten by a stray dog and getting painful shots of anti-rabies vaccine which will make you poor by 1.5 k.

4.Not getting choked by the emissions from buses/autos/trucks etc.

5.Not getting your chain snatched/getting mugged by an early rising worm(Criminal).

Alone advantages:

1. you concentrate on your walk and not the gossip

2. You can walk to your pace and not slow/hasten to your partner's pace.

3.You can chew yesterdays incidences and plan for to days activities.

4. you can stick to your schedule and not wait for others.

5. You are so alone that you do not have your mobile also with you to disturb your rhythm and contemplation.//

So, all you walkers on the Terra fir ma (roads/parks etc.), become a high raise walker to remain hale healthy and alive.

Please be realistic, there will be frustrated drunken dudes driving on the foot path, novices with / without driving licences mowing down people. So keep with the times and go vertical and go for high raise walking............ only if you are not having vertigo attacks.

Amitab bachans stinking blog

Hi,
Musing # 37
First and Foremost my apologies for a long period of silence. I' ve been receiving many mails why I've not been blogging regularly. For those my clarification is that blogging should not be equated to a daily affair like emptying your bowels in the morning, like how the Big B has been doing in his blog day in and day out.
Most of his blogs reflect the constipation of his thoughts(ego) like the constipation of his bowels.
His recent diahorreah( blog) on the film " Slum Dog Millionairre" exihibhits how small the big " B " can stoop to be.
He has become such a meglomaniac due to the media hype that he is the ultimate.
I would give him the oscar for the " Best Pseudo ".

The Power of Harmony

Hi,

Musing# 36

"Wishing you all a very Happy, Prosperous, Peaceful and Healthy New Year.

Every one of you would have sent/received the above message in abundance to/from friends, colleagues, relatives on the eve of every New Year and the just ended year being no exception.

Is it so simplistic that just by sending such greetings you are going to get what is wished/others are going to be blessed with your blessings.......................... pl. mull over this moot point.

Recently I was invited to give a speech on " Harmony and excellence " by the Trainer's forum of Bangalore chapter.

In that speech I touched upon the following five aspects of Harmony which would ensure all pervading excellence to one and all in all walks and spheres of life.

If everyone of you are genuine about the New year wishes that you sent, then please follow the five step process of "Harmony" to ensure lasting Happiness,Prosperity,Peace and health to you and all your near & dear ones.

1. Harmony with Thoughts

2.Harmony in Actions

3.Harmony of Communication

4.Harmony ensuring Health

5. Harmony with Conscience

Excellence in Harmony."........ mentor mohan

Musing # 35

Hi,

Today is Christmas.............. It's not only a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ but also a day to become a better person by adhering to His preachings also. One of His preaching is that , "The pleasure in giving is greater than getting."

I hap penned to experience this a few years back at a foreign shore.

It was 24th Dec. 2005 night at an hotel in Pattaya at Thailand.

There was a banquet dinner organised by the hotel for all the guests and a lucky dip coupon was given to all as part of this banquet dinner with prizes for the lucky winners.

I also got a coupon ending with a serial no. bearing last two digits 13.

Seeing that no. itself I knew, as usual I did not have a chance of winning any prize as it was a pitiful combination of an eternal unlucky person with an eternal unlucky number.

The draws were being made and the first prize was announced a costly hand set and as usual a pompous guy came and collected the prize.

The second prize was announced and nobody was coming forward. The number was being announced repeatedly which was ending with the number 13.

Suddenly I remembered about my coupon and checked up the number and............ Oh Gosh! I couldn't believe it. The number being announced was tallying with the coupon I was holding.

I rushed immediately to the stage with my coupon and I was given an envelope. I accepted it and as if I had just won the Oscars gave my speech about how the most unluckiest person till now, became the luckiest person at Pattaya. It was 10.30 pm in the night.

With all back slapping from all my friends I opened the envelope to find out what was in it.

It contained a voucher for free spa treatment in the same hotel within next 24hrs.

Suddenly all my euphoria was getting evaporated as next day morning by 8.30AM we have to check out from the hotel to catch a flight back to India.

I rushed to the spa and found it was locked. I went to the reception and enquired and they told me that the spa promptly closes by 10.30PM and it will open only next day by 10.30AM.

Here I was floating in the clouds for having won a lucky dip, first time in my life ,that too in a foreign shore and the reality sunk that, Will not be in a position to really enjoy the fruit of my luck.

For a moment I thought that this is a cruel joke being played upon me by............. whatever.

I came back to the reception and was giving my sob story to the receptionist.

In order to console myself, I asked her how good is that spa treatment.

She replied, " Sir, honestly I do not know, as with my salary I can't even dare to think of entering the spa in my life time."

This stirred something in me and I gave the coupon to her endorsing on her name and asked her to get the spa treatment done on the Christmas day and said it is the present from someone who Knows who deserves what.

The radiant smile on her face was much more than what a spa treatment could have done to my soul. All my disappointments of missing out on a lucky dip prize, vanished into thin air and I felt an immense satisfaction engulfing me and I was feeling light, rejuvenated and in a state of tranquility and peace which no spa treatment ever would have given me.

This was God's way of giving me a very valuable message on Christmas eve that the happiness and pleasure what you get in giving is ten folds higher than what you get.

Nature is always rich because it keeps giving..... giving.......giving...................and.........giving.

A Merry and Happy Christmas to all of you.

Antulay's Rendezvous

Musing # 34

Hi,

Immediately after the Mumbai mayhem an SMS was going around with the message " We can tackle the people who came by boats but how to tackle the people who have come by votes".

At that juncture I thought that this is a ridiculous message and a sick joke.

But after being witness to Mr. Antulay's antics regarding his conspiracy theory regarding the slaying of Mr. Hemanth Karkare by the terrorists, I'm seeing now how apt is that message. It's not just one opportunistic politicians stray remark that is disturbing the spirit of true Indians but the unabashed approval of this by the party to which he belongs and which is known to play the minority card for it's vote- bank politics.

He unashamedly admits in the interview given to Lakshmi Iyer in Mumbai Mirror " I have been flooded with adulations from across the country. Previously, no one use to take note of me when I went to the mosque , now everyone comes and hug me."

Yes, Mr. Antulay you will get plenty of adulation even from across the border and lot of people are eagerly awaiting to hug you also from there.

Mr. M. J. Akbar who is the voice of all patriotic muslims has rightly commented in today's column of his in TOI that Mr. Antulay is Ms. Simi Garewal of Indian politics in his context. I concur with him but in my own context that, She resurrected her sagging Carrier with her "Rendezvous" show with living celebrities and Mr. Antulay has even outsmarted her with his " Rendezvous " show with a slain martyr.

Now, coming back to that SMS,

We blame the intrusion of the undesired elements through boats as " Intelligence failure".

Then can we call the intrusion of undesired politicians like Mr. ARA through votes as the "Intelligentsia failure" ?

Members of Pseudoism

Musing# 33

Two news items of contradicting values made me feel very nauseated as if I had gulped wrong cocktail, They were...................

1. Chief of Army staff General Deepak Kapoor said on the occasion of passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) " Hundreds of Sandeeps were getting ready to protect our country."......... Sandeep unnikrishnan an NSG commando , sacrificed his life while battling the terrorists in Mumbai last month.............. Period.

2. M.P. 's (Members of Parliament) give a miss to the function marking the seventh anniversary of the terror attack on parliament. Not even dozen MP's were present to pay homage to the security people who laid down their lives to protect our honourable MPs............... Period.

What will be the take home message for all the youths of this country who have read both these messages........... ?

If our honourable MPs' who are representing our Mother India are so ungrateful and/or forgetful............... then only God can save us.

As long as we( aam admi) are going to be the passive lambs meant for the slaughter house, this tamasha will go on and on and on ................

This is what I referred to as the " Condom Culture" in my previous blog which is all pervading in our Political & Corporate circles.

If you have been already a victim of this culture............. then you are welcome to the club.

If you are not............. then you are in the long queue.
