Musing#6
I've been a smoker for the past 36 years and I've been trying very seriouysly to quit this habit. I decided to quit my smoking when I boarded the flight to U.S. on 31st May08. This I found the most ideal way to quit because during the 18hrs flight I will be compelleed to refrain from smoking and this would be the right start. Another tempting factor for smoking is booze, as these two go hand in hand, literally speaking-on one hand you have the glass and on the other hand the stick.. hence I decided to go on the wagon also during my two month's stay in U.S. Now it is 12 days since I gave up smoking and also drinking and I am feling very nice and I am very confident that once and for all I will be quitting this dirty habit. One more factor which is facilitating this is my regular work out in the gym which is making me very health conscious and giving me positive reinforcement in my quitting programme........ One more thing is the support of my family ie. my wife, daughter and my son- in law in this quitting programme. Also I never felt the need for a substitute like a nicotine patch etc. to overcome the withdrawal symptoms.... what is important is the will power should be more stronger than the Wills power.... will keep u posted regularly on this....

America conquers the world
Musing#5
Hi folks,
Last weekend made the trip to Niagara falls. For this we travelled by interstate freeway #90 from Boston to Buffalo. On the way came across places with names of cities in other countries like Amsterdam, Rome, Geneva and to top it all came across a place calleed New Lebanon.
At the information centre in Geneva city asked the girl who was incharge the reason why this city is named after a city in Switzerland, even she was not knowing but she was apologetic about it.
Is this American way of conquering the world? Can anyone give an explanation in this regard please? Waiting for the comments.

Joke called BIA
Musing#4
Hi friends,
With lot of eagerness reached BIA on 31st May to fly to U.S.A. As Iam staying near Hebbal and my flight was early in the morning the trip to airport was no hassle. But once got inside the airport there was no place to sit as there were only a few chairs and all of them were occupied. There were people using the trollies as chairs to park their butts. As the check in terminal is common for both domestic and international, there were more people and the chairs were at a premium. Paid the user development fee of Rs.1075/= each for myself and my wife and am wondering, what for we are paying this fees if we had to sit on the trollies for two hours.
The check in was another gruelling experience. The system crashed and we waited in the queue for half an hour till it was set right. The toilets were worst than the toilets in the bus stands
On the whole the new BIA is a big cruel joke on the trvelling public who are fleeced on top with UDF.

what is love?
Hi Friends,
Musing# 3
Love is that four lettered word which is written about, talked about ad infinitum and still no one still get to know what love is all about. According to me love is like the ocean and the waves of love from that ocean ceaselessly keeps on coming. These waves will touch you only if you happen to be there in the shore of love. Expecting that the waves of love will touch you with0ut being in the shore of love is akin to searching for the stars in the daylight sky. Also the amount of love you can carry from the ocean of love depends upon the size of the vessel you carry to fill up. If it is only a small vessel you can get only that much but it is easy to carry with you.If we are in quest of more then we have to fill it up with bigger vessel but it makes the carrying more difficult. This choice is ours to make.
Hope you could get some insight on this.

In school we are taught the lessons first and take the tests later but in life we are tested first and from those tests we learn valuable lessons. Hence what we learn from real life is more valuable than what we learn in schools. Pl. share the lessons life has taught you with others as part of educating others.

As soon as we were born we join the first que in our life called the que for death.Normally this is one que no one would like to jump, but here also there are those que breakers who jump/break the que by taking their own life/ by taking other's life.
